COVID-19 attacks your lungs and respiratory system which can result in pneumonia and even acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), a severe lung injury. This is why you have been admitted to hospital for treatment, oxygen therapy and monitoring. The medication you are receiving is helping to clear the infection but may not restore your lung capacity. It has been shown that Physiotherapy and certain breathing exercises help you restore your lung capacity and recover faster.
